I was brushing my teeth.

and my hand/arm started to get kind of tired. so heres what i did,

i took the tooth brush from my right hand. held it in my left hand for a second. and i had an idea.

the idea was to begin brushing with my left hand so my RIGHT hand could relax. sounds good right?

well i start brushing and instantly i feel like i must have gone retarded all of a sudden because i couldnt figure out how to operate the damn thing right.

its a fucking toothbrush! it only requires a simple back and forth technique that for some reason is an alien universe if you use a different hand, at least for me.

ah, after that was over i felt i let myself down. im gonna practice this until i become a master toothbrusher with not only one, but two hands!

anyone here ambidextrous?

I'm left handed and I've tried to brush my teeth with my right hand more than once and it's not the easiest thing to do. :tongue2:

I'll learn new things with my left hand sometimes, but I'm more comfortable using my right.

haha yeah man. i guess i just need to practice. i suck at that right now though, i move my face side to side and shit to get a good brush.:grin:

I'm trying to learn to use my left hand. Because i invest so much time in my right, art, writing, and yes... toothbrushing, that if i ever lost it, i would have to start all over again.

So in the spirit of investing, why not invest in my other hand?

Unless I lose THAT hand, in which case, all that wasted time could have been used on my right hand, making it stronger, and more agile.

Fuck this. I'll just stop brushing my teeth. :smile:

youve made a good point. if i lost my right hand i would have to go back to school to learn to use my left one.

i could still whack myself a good one every now and then with my left hand though.:yesnod:

I've always used both hands to brush my teeth. Not at the same time of course, I alternate.

I do everything with both hands except write, eat and wipe my ass. I write and eat with my left and wipe with my right.

i'm right handed and never had a problem brushing with my left hand... pretty much the only thing i can do where my left hand is the main focus. usually it's just the right's helper.

I'm fairly ambidextrous. I do some things predominantly right-handed (swing a bat or golf club, play a guitar) and other things predominantly left-handed (writing, throwing a ball, computer mouse) and some things I do with either hand equally. I actually bowl with both hands equally. When I go bowling I throw a few frames with my right then a few with my left and stick with what feels best that night.

Ever since I destroyed my right shoulder and collar bone I have become much more ambidextrous than I thought I was going to be. I airbrush a bit and have had to use me left hand and it didn't start out so pretty, but I have made some progress in how I can control my left hand so everything doesn't look like a four year old drew it.

Your right hand got tired form brushing? Guess you don't wack it enough..
Me? I'm a lefty, so combination wacking/surfing is second nature. Until today. I NEVER realized how much easier I have it... Wow, a new appreciation for lefties..
I'm not ambidextrous, but I can easily learn to do things right handed, I do have to try though.
Oddly enough, steak is the only food I eat right handed, probably because of the knife action.
