Petri Dish Storage

I have a couple quick questions on petri dishes:

1). Using Potato Dextrose and directly inoculating with psilocybin cubensis spores, approximately how long should it take for your petri dishes take to colonize?

2). At what temperature should petri dishes be stored in order to
preserve the colonized mycelium?

3). How long will mycelium store at the ideal temperature in petri dishes?

for the spores to germinate up to a week and for colonisation of the dish additional one to two weeks.
store at ROOMTEMP or in refrigerator for long storage (see culture slants)
in the petri dish i recently used a old mex-a that was lying around for about a year-.

The last thing you want to do is allow a petri dish to fully colonize. Use the agar to isolate strains and to isolate away from contaminants. Don't forget to wrap with parafilm.

I just put mine in a zip lock and in the fridge for a long storage

Stop experimenting half way through your first grow. Grow it to maturity, watch it, learn from it. Do this a few times then experiment with different ideas and figure out what works best for you.
