If I remember correctly, Tephen Pollock grew some but that was before his death.

They are not too easy to grow but they grow in wood chips and in manured lawns or pastures. In pastures athey are rare but grow abundantly in man made environments.

The patch where i picker those has a similar amount every few days becasue of the sprinkller systems.

They are usually 2 to 3 times more poten by weight than the Cubensis species.

Have a shroomy day,

Mj

2-3 times as potent as cubies?

I just checked my copy of psiclocybin mushrooms of the world, and blue ringers is listed as the common name for p. stuntzii. However, those look more like p. azurescens and the potency estimate sure sounds like the latter.
What's the deal?

the term blue ringers is a common name for both stuntziis and fimeterias which sport the signiture blue ring around the stem.i have not really studied much oon fimetarias, but i now realize that those are stuntziis, because fim's(which i think i have only founded once before i could id them) are a dung loving species, and do not grow in the spring?

as for potency, stuntziis are pretty good, but far inferior to either cyanescens or libs.i havent done cubensis that many times,so i cant really compare.

Psylosymon, Psilocybe fimeteria do grow in grass and many times mixed in with P. stuntzii, It is the sub fimetaria's which are now known as Psilocybe sierrae.

And P. fimetaria and P. stuntzii are cross growers meaning they fruit very well from soil with woodchips growing around them. The P. fimetaria also has a slight nipple on the top of the ccap which makes it distinct from P. stuntzii.

See the image in my field guide at my web-site. They were photographed in Stanley Parkl years ago in the 1980s.
