i tested positive for cocaine on a pre employment drug screen for the truck driving job ive been working so hard to get these past few months. its complete bullshit. i cant even remember the last time ive done coke, its been at least over a year. i dont fucking believe it. this, combined with rear ending someone last friday, theres no way in hell they are going to hire me. im so fucking pissed off and confused right now im not sure what to do. i think i might have broken my hand as well after taking the brunt of the news out on the wall by my phone.

i guess ill go back to landscaping for a while.

the chick who called me told me that what they are going to do is send some of the same sample to another lab, but in the mean time are still going to notify the employer that i tested positive. if the sample is fucked, i dont see how this could help any...

shitty deal man, shitty deal. can't say it surprises me though, people get shafted all the time. I did the runaround for a drug screen today, went to the 1st building - they tell me it's the wrong building, so I go to the new building and waited 45 minutes for them to tell me I was at the wrong company, so I get to the new building and after 2 hours I finally get the fucking PRIVILEGE to piss in a cup. :kingcrankey:

Dude, I work with a LOT of truck drivers. Yeah, it pays well, but you are better than them. I dont even know you and I KNOW this. They really are dirty stupid people. I am sure there are some exceptions, but I have never met them. Sorry you worked so hard at it and it got fucked though.

on a side note my buddy gave me some triazolam...

i feel kinda dumb taking drugs at the moment but fuck it. its calmed me down quite a bit.

My father is a truck driver, and a very good person.  He hasn't even had a single beer for as long as I've been born, never uses any drugs rather than caffeine pills to keep him up on long nights.  He's a very nice clean man who is very good to his family and kind to strangers.

He quit college after his first year but that had no impact on his quality of life as he pulls a VERY nice salary (most truckers get paid alot more than you'd think) which was able to buy my family a large plot of land in the country with a pond, horses, massive LCD tv, and nice cars.

Actually now that I think about that I don't think becoming a trucker would be too bad an idea myself... :lol:

The whole "dirty white trash trucker" stereotype kinda ticks me off, sorry, but I can promise you there are PLENTY of truckers that are very good clean people.

Well, I didn't do too much research, but it appears as though "single use" can last for 1-2 days. It is a chronic user where it stays "4-7 weeks", but who knows. It was a stupid mistake, without doing research on it. If you care so much about this job, you need to be extremely careful, and probably avoid drugs for a while. You would hate to have a retest and fail again for a different drug. Try as hard as you can to argue the test. Notify your employer you heard about the results, and are extremely confident the further lab results will prove it was a false positive. Either you sound convincing enough for them to wait around for the 2nd test and recognize it as a fluke, or it fails again for some stupid reason, and you gave it your best. Do whatever it takes to increase your chances, good employment is a very important thing.

what ever the case may be, it is what it is. i went down to the company i was applying for today. aside from the retest with the same sample my only other option with them is re applying in 3 years. so fuck them.

while i was there i did speak with some one with a contact for a local job running belly dump trucks at 8/hr. i start training tomorrow at 4 am. i drug test with this new company on friday, and pending my training and drug test results i will be bumped up to 11/hr. so all hope is not lost.

but with a fucked up vehicle i gotta share my brothers car from now until when ever we can get the shit fixed. got an appointment on monday with the adjusters.

too much crap going on in such a short period of time. why things just cant go easy for me sometimes ill never know...
