Cheap .999 14ga silver wire?
    #7609848 -

Kay, I know it's not that cheap any more, but I'm looking for about 1-2 foot of it. Yes, it has to be that pure. Has to be able to ship to the UK

That's not as expensive as I thought!

Screw buying wedding rings. Can wrap some of this around your finger and INSTANT WEDDING RINGS!

So, out of curiosity, what are you using it for?

Visionary, I said it before and I'll say it again: Don't use 999 silver for making colloidial silver. You really need 9999 silver for that, it's ten times as pure as 999 silver and that's a good thing cause the impurities in part will be heavy metals.

I also want to recommend you to buy something more durable than 14 gauge (1.62mm) because the point is that they will corrode. When they corrode (well, the anode will not the kathode) they will do so unevenly, which may result in your anode corroding to pieces before it is used up properly. A wire twice as thick will have four times the cross-section, and thus four times the service life.

Seuss' second link (an UK supplier) offers this:

Quote:
2.000MM SILVER WIRE 99.99% SOFT 1mtr
.
Price: £13.53 [€20.02] (Excluding VAT at 17.5%)

Which seems fairly cheap.

Once more: you don't need a wire, take a canadian silver maple, cut it in half, drill holes in the upper tip of each half and use these plates as electrodes. That way you get 31.1gr of thick 9999 silverv plate for something like 10 pounds including VAT
