Any Fellas Here Like Bluegrass?
    #7549255 -

Well, the past month I have been catching myself off guard listening to Bluegrass here and there. I think today it actually dawned on me that I really do like Bluegrass.

So can anyone here reccomend something to me?

Bluegrass holds a special place in my heart. The energy is so much different then anything else I listen to.

Fuck Yea!

Check out some of the original, classic bluegrass... Bill Monroe, Del McCoury, Lester Flatt, Earl Scruggs.

Also check out some bluegrass/classic rock mix in the form of Old and in the Way (I included one for download), and Muleskinner.

Finally the greatest 'modern' bluegrass, imo, comes from a band known as Iron Horse. They do a couple Metallica tribute albums that are excellent.

Here is a couple from the band 'Muleskinner' (not the song, confusing I know). The band name is obviously hackey, but I like the tunes alot.

A significant portion of David Bromberg's work is bluegrass. He is an incredibly talented musician.
