The Stoner Tree
    #7511778 - 10/13/07 12:08 PM (16 years, 3 months ago)

Rwake is the stoner/doom band from Arkansas and this is one of the greatest songs ever made. I just wanted to share the beauty of this band.

Man is timid and apologetic; he is no longer upright; he dares not say "I think," "I am," but quotes some saint or sage. He is ashamed before the blade of grass or the blowing rose.Man postpones or remembers; he does not live in the present, but with reverted eye laments the past, or, heedless of the riches that surround him, stands on tiptoe to foresee the future. He cannot be happy and strong until he too lives with nature in the present, above time

sounds more like slow black metal to me.. I think another voice would fit better, although a few years ago I might have thought otherwise about it;)

black metal has a lot of double picking. This is more chug chug slow groove.

sounds pretty generic to me. Back in high school I would go to some hardcore shows in LA and this doesn't seem unique at all

i dont see how you could say that. Im somewhat of an audiophile and when it comes to metal this is one of the most unique bands ive ever heard. Do you know how hard it is to produce something that sounds so completely original? Not to mention the weirdo rhythms you must give all the albums a listen. And this is not hardcore.

Walls of jericho is shitty to begin with. All they play is lame middle school hardcore. This band has a heavy blues and classic rock influence which sets them far apart from any other in the doom genre.
