Can anyone please recommend me some good hardcore punk bands? Im not after old school and im not after pop punk, im talking about mainly metal influenced hardcore bands like Snot, Sick of it All, Amen, Good Riddance, that kinda stuff...

Edit: Black Flag is mentioned so much, and I'm an avid fan, but anyone else dissapointed in Rollins' MTV switch? And seen his stand-up monologue? I wasn't impressed.

heh, I heard all of those bands above.
http://homepages.nyu.edu/~cch223/mainpage.html - thats all you really need to goto for old school hardcore. Maximum Rock n' Roll is the other good resource for new releases.
Back when the world pissed me off for no particular reason, punk rock was my release valve for aggression.
As far as metal influenced punk rock... heh, check out Municipal Waste or Reason of Insanity, maybe some DRI (which is easily downloadable). But, mixing metal and punk rock is like mixing water with oil. The two are similiar, but they dont mix at all.
Oh by the way, someone mentioned DS-13. AWESOME live show. I've seen them play 5 times, and none of the shows were over $5 to goto (except the thrash fast that had 40 great bands over the course of 2 days - which was $20). It seems the Swedes currently make the best t[h]rash.
If you want metal, download Opeth... which requires an attention span. Punk rock generally requires ADHD and a pissed offed attitude towards society's flaws.
