how bad would it be if i stole a bicycle from walmart?

I really need a bicycle, and I don't have any cash. I do however have a decent pair of bolt cutters.

how bad would it be if i went and Stole a bike from walmart?
I mean, i think that i could pull it off...... im really just concerned about the moral issue.
Usually i have no problem stealing from large chain stores, especially walmart as they put small business out of business and take up about 11% of the us GDP

i usually have no qualms about stealing from wal-mart either.. but it's always small things worth less than like 10 bucks... i'm not sure how i'd feel about the bicycle thing. i mean, it certainly could be worse. it is only wal-mart afterall... but still. eh...

Do it man! Just walk it up to the front like you are buying it and head for the door. If anyone tries to stop you...well...you have a getaway vehicle! Make sure you get rid of any tags or anything that will prevent you from riding it away. Know where you are going to go if you get chased.

nah id have to be crafty about it, that i actually happen to be good at.

I would take the bike and 3 bike locks, and bring it all out to the garden dept which is fenced in, but open from the top.

I would then lock each of the wheels and the frame to the strongest piece of metal out in that garden area, and then steal the keys.

Id come back at night when it was closed, dressed in black, unlock the fucker, throw it over the fence, and ride home :smile:

if you live near any major city there should be a bicycle co-op of sorts run by freaks who will probably let you build a bicycle from their collection of parts in exchange for a few hours of shop work or something...

i forgot to add, the major benefit of doing this is that you will likely end up with a nice bike with quality components as opposed to some shit that might just shatter the second you show it any real athleticism.
