can my PC work without its fan?

i dont really use it but to run music off of. im a MAC man.
i aint got 5.00 to go get a fan from radioshack and wondering if its so bad if i take it out of my PC......will it catch on fire is all i really care about.

As long as the fans on the PSU and CPU work and you're not running it for too long I don't see why it should be a problem. You'll know if it's a problem when it just starts resetting from overheating.

There is a HIGH risk for blowing your processor without a fan. Even without heat paste is a bad idea.

Nah its cool. The pc will just reboot or hang if it gets to hot. Just run it for a couple of hours and see if it crashes or not. Ran a geforce card without a fan for quite some time without incident aslong as didn't play games.

I guess depends on how old the pc is. To my knowledge older ones don't have a cutoff.

Are you talking about a case fan or a processor fan?
There is a HUGE difference in between the two.
