if i order something online and have it shipped to me by general delivery, how do i know when i can pick it up? i need to order a bunch of shroom growing stuff but i dont want anyone asking me what i need 12 canning jars and 3lbs of coco coir for.

im not looking for an alternative to general delivery. i dont want to go into all the details about my situation but iv decided general delivery is my best option and thats the end of that. but whatever. i doubt ill get the answer im looking for from a shroomery forum when the usps website wont even tell me.

When can you pick it up??

When it gets there, not a minute before.

USPS only has one option that you can actually use to track a package and know when it has arrived. That would be Express mail.

What is the expected delivery time? 3-5 days? 1-2 weeks? After that amount of time has passed just call your post office and ask them to check on a package they are holding for pickup. They'll tell you if it's in yet and whether or not you can come pick it up.

clarify with the post office your using that they will hold packages for a month, some just hold them for a week
i,ve sent packages to myself when i know i,ll be in the area in the next month or so, when u go to pickup your package have your name written down on a piece of paper along with your id, that way u can take the paper with u instead of them writing your name down and keeping it in case u r receiving interesting items
