How about them Iggles?

Not that I was getting TOO worried, but that was a hell of a performance to answer the critics. Westbrook never looked better, the defense was solid even without Dawkins (9 sacks), McNabb was in sync, and I think the great white hope has hit the next level with Kevin Curtis.

It's funny that I'm getting so excited about a win over the Detroit Lions, but they look pretty strong this year. If the birds can stay healthy, they're going to be a force this year.

I think the birds are still going to take the division. I don't see why you think that wouldn't be the case. As ridiculous as it was, they lost the Packer game because of two muffed punts. They still lost and that's all that matters, but if those two plays didn't happen, they would be 2-1. Like I said, they deserved to lose, but they played a GB team pretty tight, who aren't as bad as people thought two weeks ago, and they didn't really get beat, they beat themselves. They really deserved the Redskin loss. McNabb's rythem was off but it's hard to argue that he's not gotten it back.

I think when healthy, this is the best team in years, even better than the Super Bowl team. If McNabb and most importantly Westbrook stays healthy, I don't see another team in the NFC beating the team that played this past Sunday. They were on fire in those pretty baby blue and yellow unis.

Well all i can do is hope you're right. i've watched them my whole life, so you understand the pessimism...i really wish they went out and got Rossum back. The defense kind of let me down more than McNabb vs. Washington. They caved at key points in the game. i actually worry more about the defense than the offense. Unless they dominate, we're not going anywhwere i'm afraid. Too many big plays vs. Detroit...even though it didn't matter.

I've watched them my whole life as well, long enough to know the first two games of a season don't mean diddly poo. I'm pretty happy with their defense so far this year. They're shutting down the run, which is what they set out to do this season. Detroit had some success in the air, but not until they were down by 28 points. I think that kind of lead allows an injured secondary to give a little padding. Also, Dawkins didn't play. He's the heart and soul of that D.

Maybe you've missed the how the Cowboys have looked...or even the Redskins..I'll be surprised if Philly is in 3rd place in their division....I expect last.

i'm sure everyone was saying the same shit last year when they were 4-5 after McNabb went down for the season. It's a long season. Bottom line is: we'll see.

I did say that last year. But then Jeff Garcia came in and saved last year's season and he would have done even better this year because Garcia has leadership, brains Courage and Team Spirit. :thumbup:
