I'm glad the Chargers are sucking

It's clear by now that the management may be pretty frickin incompetent, impatient, and just stupid.


My dislike started when they let go of Brees. That entire situation just demonstrated the front office's stubbornness.

And then they fire Schotty after a 14-2 season, just because they were expecting to win a super bowl, and lost to the patriots in the playoffs.


I'm glad they're doing badly and hope they continue to stink it up.

I dont think management is incompetent. I think they are very competent especially because of the talent we have on our team. I think letting Marty go was a bad decision. It seems like Norv is more conservative at times than Marty. Brees, its a tough call... I think NO is the right team for him but thats just me.

Letting go of Brees was stupid because back then in that situation

you had the first time the Chargers looked good in a while. Especially at QB, a position passed around between Ryan Leaf and several other draft busts.

They were letting go of the one guy who proved he can play QB in SD, LT was campaigning for him to stay, and relying it all on Philip Rivers, a high draft pick with a large signed salary and absolutely no success in the NFL.

Rivers looked better last week, but losing to the Packers is a bit different than losing to the Pats

I dont know man... Packers have a decent team this season. I agree its a tough loss compared to losing to NE, but its not horrible. It will take time for the Chargers and the new Coaching Staff to get a rythme going.

I'm watching Brees right now against the Titans, and he's not that good. I think a few seasons of this kind of football, and no one will say "damn, you passed up Brees for Philip Rivers? The pack is good. The Chargers are good. Any team with Antonio Gates is good in my opinion. A completely original weapon.

Norv Turner and Wade Phillips??

I've had a few acquaintances in pro sports and they all have the same assessment and that is that most teams would rather go with a re-tread and lose than take a risk with a new guy (or stick with a proven winner) and lose. Fans seem to honestly care less when a new"name" sucks (no matter how bad they were before) it up bad than if a newbie does.

There is SO much talent out there that will never get a chance.

I don't know about Wade with the Boys, he seems like a nice enough guy but his track record.

Norv Turner on the other hand?? He's the BJ Armstrong to Jimmy Johnson's Michael Jordan IMO.
