The PESA strain was grown on rye and the combined with sterilzed compost about 8 lbs. It started pinning and i noticed that the bases were getting PRETTY FLUFFY... IS this because there is too much moisture?? At first i thought it might be cobweb mold, but i guess not. TOTAL dry weight of what you see (the first flush) was about 18 g?s dry. Also a note,,, as you can see there were alot of abhorts. Is this common with this strain? THANKS

The PESA I have always seen look very similar to yours all down to the abhorts.

If my memory servers me correctly then PESA = PF strain?
PF strain does abort a lot. As for the base of the stems i've seen that before and never had a problem. It might be a humidity issues. I can never remember which it is.
Excessivy humidity = mycelium on the caps? Low humidity = mycelium on the stems?
