Yep! Except I played Dragonrealms.

I was the highest Thief in DR.. level 68 when I walked the road..
Then I said.. FUCK THIS GAME. 4 years of playing only to have my character deleted and rerolled in a split second because I forgot to 'get favors with my god' after dying 8 times in a row.

Back in the early/mid 80's (high school for me) I had an Apple IIe. The only game that I remember playing a lot was Castle Wolfenstein.

Then I was out of it for 10 years or so. I finally bought a state-of-the-art IBM Aptiva in '96. The first game I played on it was "Myst". I fell in love with adventure games and have played them since. The entire Myst series has been epic, and the Zork series was great also. And theres a bunch of others in the same genre that I've played. I get them all mixed up anymore. Recently I've been playing Schizm II (played the first one a couple years ago).

Oh, and I played a lot of flight sims for a while, but not in the last few years.

Hmmm, well a long time ago, games like Dark Forces, DOOM, Wolfenstein 3d, Full Throttle, Cyberia, Need For Speed 2, and the Descent series were my daily bread.

No One Lives Forever 1 (2000) and 2 (2003) are probably my all-time favourite games though. They were just simply fucking mindblowing.

More recently, I've really enjoyed Fable, the Grand Theft Auto series, and Half Life 2 (especially Deathmatch, which I pretty much dominate).

Can't forget to mention World of Warcraft, either... Man what a game. I was the world first player to have a Felstriker (then 'Deathstriker') dagger, heh. The first year of WoW was just so damn much fun, before item databases and websites like Thottbot spoiled the mysteries of the game, and turned it into a damn grindfest.

I was a poor lad, so i didn't always have the best up to date systems. I still make each PC last 5-6 years via upgrades.
Anyway, i tried a lot of games, but stuck with a select few(*):

Doom*
X-WING* (so underated. Best space flight sim of its time)
Starcraft*
Half-life
Black and White
Worms: Armaggedon
GTA 1 + 3

Roller Coaster Tycoon
Sim Farm & City
Oregon Trail
Africa Trail
Alot of other Trails
Cyberia
Creatures 1,2, and 3
lots and lots of others

Edits: Ooooooh and Tie Fighter, Xwing, Tie-fighter & xwing, all those. Especially Tie Fighter, that shit was fuckin awesome

the only game ive ever really gotten into was diablo 2. not much of a gamer, and as noob ive found this game to be somewhat entertaining and even a bit challenging, for a noob such as myself...

but ya, that was it. just diablo 2

I do dig risk, stratego, and chess, but I'm looking for a serious "I have an hour to kill between classes" strategy type game.

I just went through and beat the game Lords of Magic which haunted me throughout my middle-school years, it was a lot easier now. Anyway it's a fun little fantasy strategy game with genocidal undertones, it's great.
