Lunar Cycles and Emotions

So over the past few months I've stopped living off the typical Gregorian calendar and started living by the cycles of the moon. So i've been following it for about 6 months now and have noticed a pattern which has got me thinking. Right now from the 11th to the 13th we are in a new moon cycle where you can't see the moon at all at night (opposite of a full moon). Almost every single new mooon and full moon crazy energy starts working up and something always seems to happen where alot of emotions are intensified. It even affected my birds, two of my finches murder my other one on the full moon a couple months ago. Doing a google search I found that most crime happens on the full moon; any of you experience anything simiilar? Quite trippy actually. Any of you experiencing intensified emotions right now in the new moon ?

I've always felt the full moon strongly. I feel a wild primal energy often. I've noticed the feeling having no idea of the current lunar cycle and confirmed it by looking.
Some friends and I have often noticed and discussed it over the years. I've got one screw up of a friends who goes ape shit crazy sometimes during a full moon. I think everytime he has gotten locked up was during or right before a full moon.
I'm a cancer so I guess if all that stuff means anything then I'm supposed to feel it as strong as I do.

well today I paid my rent 5 days late.
Landlord called, I apologized.
She said, "No worries, no worries, I have a proposition for you. I have another house way way way nicer with a spa, two car garage, outside dog kennel, free natural gas, central air...( the list drags on, this house is AMAZING, compared to the double wide I'm living in now ) and I'll only charge you 50 dollars more a month.
So I got a way more amazing house to live in with free gas and a garage for $750, I'm definetly over enthusiastic

that is a nice deal. you pay that alone or have roomies? The place I will soon be at is 1260 a month split 4 ways in the middle of columbus near OSU campus. so 340 a month per person. Its nothing special but it is nice enough for me.

Very interesting. Would you mind elaborating on how you follow the cycle of the moon? Like... Would you schedule a nice night of togetherness with friends to partake in some psychedelic exploration on a night of a full moon or new moon, since it intensifies things?

I remember reading about this in Pinchbeck's 2012: The return of Quetzlcoatl (which was a pretty good read ) and thinking that I would like to learn more about it. Living in accordance with the cycles of the moon... it seems a lot more "natural" than living off of the Gregorian calender. But then that leads me right back here, to just living... I mean, what's a calender? really?

Its quite simple actually, My calendar is evergoing not split into months but split into moon cycles. I don't plan on taking psychedelics on full moons or new moon, but often the situation will arise where I'll end up with psychedelics and a day off work and it happens to be a new moon. I've also been following the calendar from keepingtime.net which is a mayan rendention which follows the moon cycles. Its pretty amazing how accurate it is. Right now we are in the Moon 2 which deals with human interaction, and is a time of challenge. I find to be very true at the moment as I watched two friends who live on this property practically end their friendship permanently. The next new moon is supposed to be one of success and completion.
Keep an eye on the cycles of the moon and I garuntee you will notice situations change quickly, or emotions be heightened during new moons and full moons. I've certainly notice it.

Its also the time that surrounds the new moon and full moon, not saying that what happened to you was because of the moon though. But here, This whole situation that started here started on Sunday and escalated until today. Still don't know what will happen as the new moon continues until tommorow.

Ah, I understand. This does put things in a new light... Just the other day (Sunday, I believe) my dear old mother and I had a very, very intense conversation on my spirituality. It escalated into more of an argument towards the middle.. Mainly things like how she is so upset that I don't attend church with her and because I don't believe Christianity is the only way to go about things.. and how all Eastern spirituality and philosophy is the devil prying into my head to steer me away from the "Only Way Out". But it ended with me refusing to argue anymore (which I never should have in the first place, really) and asking her for a hug. It was the first time we've hugged in a long time, and I told her that I love her and am very grateful for her bringing me up with the ideals she did, but that I just... believed in more in a way.
And another case.. a lot of people are complaining to my dad, who works in a Union Hall, and wanting to go on strike. And lots of crooked Union Hall workers are trying to cut my dad's paycheck out all together. Lots of messed up things going on up there.
I went to visit a friend who I'd never really hung out with before (only talked online, even though we attended the same high school around 3 or 4 years ago) Sunday evening.
I mean.. I'm definitely starting to see some patterns.. but I dunno. I want to try it out for myself.. but even then I'm not sure if I'd ever be able to account things happening in such synchronized manners to the cycle of the moon. Or could I?

It's where the word "lunacy" came from. Police departments, hospitals, etc.. expect and get more calls/cases when there is a full moon out. It's actually fairly well-documented, but noone has a solid "why" yet.
And yeah, it's been a bit nuts this week.

Now just imagine what it would have been like before the invention of light. Light effects our body cycles, along with the moon.
Women used to menstruate together in correspondence to the moons phases, but since the moon isn't the only light in the night sky anymore, the cycle has become disheveled.
