I love his film making)(style,creepyness,etc.)
But could someone please tell me the point of "lost highway" or "mulholland Dr."
I have watched these movies over and over but I don't understand?

That might be the point. They are just "crossword puzzles" for entertainment use only. That's my opinion. I am a fan of Lynch too --though I don't go to the Twin Peaks conventions every year. Imagine meeting Major Briggs or having a beer with Hawk!

I saw Mulholland Dr. and I had to be explained it. weirdest movie I've ever seen, but i like it.
SPOILER:
k, ya know the first scene where you see from the point of view of someone passing out into their pillow? well from then on until "Rita" opens the blue box is all a dream. yep, not real. See "Betty"/Diane has everything she would want, great acting opportunities, she gets to have wonderful lesbian sex with the other chick, a cool pad, and all the characters she sees in her dream are at the dinner party at the end. the show they sneak off to go see at night is kind of a symbol towards it not being real. the blue box might represent sanity? or reality... i dunno. The two guys talking about his dreams that he's had hints to it too. the hobo in the back that controls everything: ???? wish I knew. so basically after she wakes up in her shitty apartment jealous of that director guy for boning the hot brunette, and jealous of the brunette for having mad acting skills, she goes to that dinner party and sees all the people she saw in her dream. oh and that dead chick they saw in that apartment when they broke in? yaeh that was her, Betty/Diane. that's about as much that kinda makes sense to me.
I haven't seen Lost Highway but maybe this would help.

i love lynch.
i think part of the point of his films are that (to an extent) they are open to imagination and interpretation

That's a cool way to look @ watcing his films....I was always trying to hard to figure them out. I'll have to watch them again and just take it all in w/ out trying to dissect them.
BTW, have you seen his photography.....this waitress where I work brought in this huge book full of his paintings and such. That shit is strange.

I have seen a book of his images and some writings. I want to get it. It's very cool. I think it's called "Images" . I like the scuplure called "chickenshit" and the "woman and smoke" series, as well as the "industrial areas", and some of the writings. I am a member of his paysite too (though I've been too lazy to really look at it yet). I know it's cool. I looked at it breifly a few times. Lynch
