I believe all those things are determined by growing conditions far more than by the strain.

This thread will probably be locked because discussion of strains is supposed to be confined to THE STRAIN THREAD. Check it out it's an interesting thread.

i looked through it and posted question bout this particular strain even did a search but not much in return and i hope its not locked cause technically im in the cultivation process and it was a question.

(A cube is a cube)
Colonization speed = Depends on what your colonizing it to/with like any other cube.

Idea temp = For colonizing I would imagine between 78-83, for fruiting I would say 70-74 like any other cube.

Potency = Depends on substrate and environment like any other cube.

i hear that all the time a cube is a cube but after some extensive research i discovered thats not the case. for the most part they are the same but color, size, potency, growing conditions, and compound levels all differ in different species for a reason. some cubes actually grow better in 74 degrees as others do better in the 80's. the chemical makeup although similar in cubes does have different needs. i think a cube is a cube only applies to eating them if you eat 4 grams of weak shroomz and a different time eat 2 grams of shroomz twice as potent as the weak ones then you should expect the same thing minus ur mood setting yada yada yada u know the rest

Something tells me your extensive research technique is very flawed. The variations across p. cubensis substrains do not vary as much as you'd like to beleive. Shroomery members who have been cultivating for decades would agree.

If you go to one site and it says substrain x is extremely potent- then go to another site that says substrain y is not very potent, substrain x is not necessarily more potent than substrain y.

yes they are the same species my mistake i meant strain and i am growing right now and will be glad to post updates and pics. right now they just started growing mycellium finnally after 7 days, i will make a new thread in a couple of days called China Yunnan Cultivation and keep everyone informed of their progress.

to impeachme-If you go to one site and it says substrain x is extremely potent- then go to another site that says substrain y is not very potent, substrain x is not necessarily more potent than substrain y.

this makes no sense. if strain x has a psilocybin level of lets say .7 and strain y has .4 how would x not be more potent then y

It's doesn't matter if 20 different ppl grow b+ even the same way, they're all gonna get different effects if growing from multi-spore. So you can't base studies from multi-spore, IMO.

exactly, sub-strain x will have only had the .7psil in the particular instance in which the tester/source had experienced them. Tester a finds strain x to be .7 on first flush .8 on second and .4 on 3rd meaning there is no real consistency even within the same strain. Its based heavily on conditions, now i do believe particular strains etc have the potential to reach their full potency in a specific series of conditions, in order to be privy to that information id think youd have to grow the same strain about 40 times or more. So basically if one site says strain x and z are different in potency that is in their experience and does not reflect the general mushrooms potency because you cannot make a solid statement based on inconsistent reults.

You can however say potency varies from SPECIES TO SPECIES, as in the case of azurescens and cyanescens. :peace:

Then whats the reason of having so many places that say this strain is more potent that the other or the effects of this are different from the other strain?

I am no experience grower but i have read Roadkill say that South African Transki is the reason Africans put bones in there noses

Also people say that Puerto Ricans is a strain that is harder to grow and have a stronger effect

My point if a cube is a cube then why is there so many trends.

Of course a different species can have more of a difference in them
is like a dog and a elephant but a chiwawa and a saint bernard are both the same species but have different characteristics.
