Radioactive Mail
    #735024 - 07/09/02 08:02 PM (22 years, 7 months ago)

Anyone heard the same rumor that the US Government is running US mail through some kind of radioactive machine? The machine is ment to kill deadly germs on mail. If this is true, how safe are spores in the US mail?

i belive the things you are talking about is the taxdollar spending of 4-8 million (or was it billion) dollars to place irradiation machines at either coast for the mail to pass through before entering the us. this was post-9/11 anthrax scare tactics by the usgov to keep icky viruses away from us ppl. they were told to be very similar to the irradiation machines used on fruits and meat and shit... most likely it wont do anything to yer spories, but who knows, its the usgov...

it's a conspiracy. the government scans the mail which in turn kills germ but leaves radioactive particles on the mail, which is giving us all brain tumors.
(i was reading the book 'the Paranoids Handbook') haha

Actually I did post a couple of threads about this in the security forum. first is in DRUGS IN THE MAIL and the second is IMPORTANT MAIL INFO. This covers the radiation machines in use in 2 locations and HYPOTHETICAL info on how to ship illegal substances through the mail. For Informational purposes only of course.

and just to add, Tax dollars are not paying for the machines. The usps got 1 government grant of (i think) 800,000 bucks. the rest is to be paid by the Post Office which by the way DOES NOT use any tax dollars. We spend what we make in postage and shipping. self sufficient. been that way for years. Not that anyone cares. LOL I know I dont. But I wish some of you paid my bills so I could get a fucking raise. HAHAHHA

I'd be more worried about thermal death than that machine. It was 108 degrees where i live today!! My mailbox could have cooked a small roast

I was also worried about my spores cooking in the mailbox when I got em a couple days ago.
