Gapping wounds

So as I sit here waiting for the sweet mercy of T3's to kick in, I realize what began as a routine check-up quite quickly turned into open-mouth surgery...the nitrous might have had something to do with my decision....

I went to the dentist to have a very small cavity filled...no big deal, no needles, no gas, no prob....and then he notices my wisdom teeth...which are still firmly attached to my head. In a quick decision he decides that one must come out....there is a cavity on it and no point in wasting time....now quite frankly at this point I'm fine with it in my head and would prefer to keep it....but then he mentions the nitrous....he would have to give me lots and lots of nitrous in order to "painlessly" remove my tooth....to this I hear myself agreeing before my better judgement kicks in....and here comes the mask and rather happily I subcome to the glorious warm blanket of the nitrous....so much so that I don't even flinch as 3 needles are driven into my soft little gums, I cringe only slightly at the sound of my tooth being gorged from my mouth and am completely unaware that I have been given stitches. In fact I joyfully leave the dentist and near frolic to my car with my T3 perscription. You would think at some point with the perscription firmly clenched in my hand I would realize the severity of the pain I should be in...but no, I only realize that I've become very faint and will not be operating any motor vehicles at this time.

Fast forward to now.....I can now fully feel my face! the freeze is gone and my face has had the unfortunate realization that something very very terrible has happened. All I can do is sit and wait and wait and wait until the painkillers kick in.

Fucking dentists suck. I tell them straight out i only want the scheduled procedure done and if they try anything else I will get up and leave, They dont give a fuck about anything but money.

Joining your boat soon, no doubt.

I got a date wednesday evening with a panorex x-ray machine.

I'm like five years overdue, so I'm sure they'll be like "OH MY GOD WE NEED TO TAKE THESE OUT NOW!!!" but that ain't gonna happen, because I gotta work thursday morning.

But I do anticipate that it will be happening soon...

yes but I have healthcare...I have a really good dental plan, plus ny dentist is a family friend so I didn't even pay for this.

I don't even notice mine.. is it possible to have them grow in without any problems?

dude you'll be fine I had a friend go through that not to long ago ge got 3 ripped out and only got 2 refills of T'3's of 30...
Plus I had over 9 oral surgerys with bone impacted on a few and one where they had to crack my jaw a little in order to get out the monster teeth...thank god for no wisdom teeth but I think I paid my dues...And no I didnt get all these teeth removed due to cavities, but my mouth is allergic to the metal in barces and makes my mouth break out in horrible sores,,,so they did the old fashion way of ripping them out and letting them fall into place...so you shoukd be fine...:strokebeard:

HOLY CHRIST

Two days after I make the appointment, I am now being severely overwhelmed with pain almost constantly. I'm not sure if I re-enabled my mind's awareness of that area or what... but the timing is all too critically helpful. (The appointment is tomorrow, thank god)

I mean, I've needed these out for five years. Occasionally it does cause me some pain, but it has never been anything intense enough to make an appointment. This is. (Good thing I already made it...)

My whole left lower face is aching like fuck.

I can't even tell if it's the upper or lower jaw at this point... the pain is radiating too much. I think a tooth fucked a nerve or something...

the last time i went to the dentist was the summer before my senior year of high school, over 4 years ago.  My wisdoms were first starting to come in at that time, and i was told i should probably  get them removed because they're not very straight. 

now i've got 3 fully in, and one that won't do anything more than poke out because it's sideways.  the left side of my mouth is pretty solid, both upper and lower wisdoms came in nice and straight, and the right upper is only a little crooked, but the bottom right bastard is a nonconformist.  every now and then, especially when eating gummies, i'll get pain in the jaw that turns into headaches, but it'll be another few years before i can do anything about mine because i have no healthcare, no dental insurance.

not sure why i told my whole story... just wanted to fit in :shrug:

but sucks for both of you.  hope your pills kick in quickly gillette, and hope you don't have too much difficulty jaques.  good luck with that.
