what is it about long hair and fucken shedding?

I could run a brush through my hair right now, and have enough crap built up on the bristles for a freaken throw rug...and I can't, fot the life of me, figure out where it's all comming from (cause it would seem I'd be fucken bald ina week at the rate it's shedding)

I don't remember having to worry about crap like this when I had short hair  :what:

before I cut my hair, every time I showered, I'd pull out wads of hair by the end

it just seems like more hair because it's longer strands. the human head sheds like 100 hairs a day i think. something like that.

also, you're probably going bald.

You need to use good shampoo and conditioner, talk to women with long hair, they can give you some advice. :smile:

I have long hair and I agree with TRB. It just seems like more because it's so long. Mine is the same way.

I had longer hair a while back, and it fell out some but not a lot..I had my hair in the back almost half way down my back when I was 20, and I still didnt have my hair fall out that much...humm strange, I took care of my hair though.

Mine is 1/2 way down my back now and I used to keep it to my waist.  But that gets to be a PITA.  I have a great head of hair, take care of it and still lose some.  Really a hair follicle has a set life span.  They fall out when they fall out.  Now if you are talking about breakage that's a different story.

Hope that didn't come across bitchy.  It wasn't meant to.  :plur:

Oh I thought you were talking about breakage. And I love women with long hair, oh yea..as long as it looks well maintained.
But hey if you want to know what I look like, click on my picture icon and look at 'my pictures' yea I have short hair now..I am going to try growing it out again.

nah...I'm actually taking real good care of it to be perfectly honest with you

it just amazes me how much this shit really does fall out
(cause I swear to god you don't even see this crap AT ALL with short hair)




and to whomever inquired about the length:

I'm only just now barely getting to be shoulder length (which really isn't 'that' long) but it's a step-up from the crop jobs I've been sporting for the past decade or so

I'm shooting for mid-back range somewheres  :smirk:
