how large is the worlds largest chess board?

So i have been doing some research, and it dosent seem to be that big.... maybee the size of a back yard. as seen here.

anyways, i think that there would be one that is much larger, and im asking if anyone knows of one larger than that, or perhaps the actual worlds larest chess set.

you know i think their is one in the queens castle in London. i think its red and white.

Buckingham palace. they play games on it with magik like herry potter. im not teasing this is my true theory.

yes, im planning on building the worlds largest chess board, but first i have to figure out how big the largest existing one is

haha, thats actually a pretty cool idea. it would be alot different playing on a chess board like these though, because you'd have a different perspective of the board and the chess pieces. i don't know if this makes sense to you or not, but the way i visualize chess is from the birds eye view where i can clearly see all the moves etc. but if i was standing on the ground, next to the board, it would be more difficult to have as much awareness of the baord and all that. maybe i could just construct i giant tower next to the board so i can still get the birds eye perspective of the chess board. :awesome:

The "players" looks at the board from a camera suspended on a pole in the middle of the board. They then communicate to the pieces via walkie talkie or bullhorn.

or hell, since we are in the modern era and all, text.
