Ordering my first spores

I have been reading this forum very thoroughly and am finally ready to order my first spores!

I know that they are perfectly legal to buy and study, but it is safe to have them sent to my house where I will be growing legal edible mushrooms as well?

I plan on keeping the syringes in the fridge and will only be studying them under a microscope. I can have them sent to a friends house who lives about an hour a way, but if it is safe to have them sent here, I would rather do that. What do you all think?

Spores are perfectly legal in almost all states. Make sure they're legal on the spore site you order from. I personally recommend Spores101. They're faaast, good, and if you mention the Shroomery, you get an extra random spore! Other than that though, I have mine shipped to my address, without a worry.

If legal mushrooms are found growing, with evidence of consumed syringe containing actives, this could support a prosecution. Its your call.

If someone where to come of evidence or state that he grows them, he could be prosecuted. It's very common in mycology for people to have spore prints of mushrooms and it's also very common to study them.

I think I know the case you're referring to. The guy did not get busted because of having edibles growing combination with a consumed active syringe. He got busted because his ex-girlfriend testified that he was growing illegal mushrooms.

The first two bits were just incidental. Sure they were more nails in his coffin, but he was already dead the moment his ex ratted him out. The guy was lucky that they didn't find anything growing, but 95% of the time if you're in that situation you're going to be busted by them actually finding them growing.

So I would say that you're perfectly fine having spores around while you grow edibles. Just don't get into a situation where someone is going to rat you out. Prosecutors can and will try to run with a single witness, mostly just to scare you into a plea deal like they did with that last guy.

So remember the first rule.... Tell NOBODY.

yeah, but finding tek's substrates, this computer site, anything can be used to support probable cause, which is all they need to show intent. In most cases, the state law for intent to commit a crime is the same as that for the successful completion of the act.

Besides, once they've indicted/ arrested you you've lost alot of freedom, and probably money too. I don't know how many people have the strength to push a case to trial like that- they only need for it to be probable that you commited a crime to force a trial.

In my state, two years mandatory minimum for production of schedule I drug (meth/ marijuana excepted).

Tell no one, and use cash/ money orders.
