Yesterday rocked so much. The subway was flooded so I just bummed around Brooklyn for half the day, then saw Rescue Dawn, then got stoned as hell and listened to music and drank margaritas the rest of the day. Work is for suckers, I decided.

as long as i don't get hit by lightning, and it doesn't get so shitty as to not allow the show.. i don't care about getting a little soaked.

Well it's not rained in weeks here, and it's like 110 degrees out...no joke. Nothing like 95% humidity and temps of 98-99 to make it feel like the surface of the sun outside.

Now I'm gonna watch fear and loathing in las vegas in my nice, AC home.

at darien lakes on the fall phish tour in '00, it poured before the show... my legs were soaked, but my upper body was fine.. i got dosed w/ some of the best acid i've ever had, 4 bottles condensed in one.. it cleared up for the show, and ended up being the only time i got to see phish...

it was a lot of fun... there was this crazy fog in the air from the rain and everyone was super excited that the rain quit...

I was on a 1/10th of molly, maybe a bit more, at Phish @ the very same ballpark we will be at tonight in Coney Island, for the first night of their last tour, and it rained sooo much - but you know what sucks? It rained during setbreak, the only time when you couldn't not think about it!

Rain or shine, Daft Punk will most likely still be in full effect.

I could only imagine the sensory load that would result from frying in the rain with their music blaring, mud, etc. Dunno if I could handle all the dancing fools that can't ever seem to stick to one spot though. Seems like every music show I've ever been to I always ended up near some brain-scrambled idiot who couldn't help but step on my feet or bump into me constantly cos they couldn't control their dancing or keep it within a certain perimeter. Maybe I'm a jerk, but people like that need to be smacked a few good times.

The absolute worst were the "spinners" at Phish shows. You know, the kids whose idea of fun was to eat as many drugs as possible and then spin in a circle with their arms out and legs kicking without looking where they were going.

metal floor+rain=ankle problems

that's the last thing i need is to go ass-over-elbows and break something.. I already look like i was in a fight... I burned myself, have a few cat scratches, and then managed to put a lump on my forehead by headbutting the radiator this morning..

i can't shake the headache.
