yeah, I mis-read the itenerary. We were in Ventura, Ca yesterday, and I thought since we were in Cali that we would be going to SD.... well, my dumbass didnt even fully look and we are in South Dakota now at the worlds biggest Biker rally.

We got the Fabulous Thunderbirds opening up for us tomorrow, and I think now a few of us are going to get shithoused at the Applebee's across the street.

but if any of you fuckers are within 10 miles of me right now, bring me a bag! :crankey:

yeah, I have been having a blast.

Yesterday, we got into Ventura and I got up about an hour before curb check and took a stroll along the beach. I watched about 6 bangin ass bitches play volleyball for about 20 minutes and decided to check out what the rest of the beach had to offer.

Seriously, California has the worlds hottest bitches. Nashville is up there, but LA and the surrounding areas have about a 90% ratio of hot slutty bitches to non-hot women.

The show went fairly smooth.... it was small.... about 5,000 or so people, then me and some of the musicians closed the hotel bar down.

South Dakota is actually a beautiful state. The flight in here, and the driving around, and the weather, are all amazing. I spent most of the day gorging myself at this pimp ass restaraunt that they closed down for us and drank martini's on the edge of the lake and overfed the geese waddling around.

this is an almost exact replica of my setup yesterday...

and tomorrow I use the badass midas rig.... more stories to come.

yeah... the only thing that sucks about touring is the travelling.

I had to be up this morning at 5am (pacific time) and then got on a 4 hour flight to minneapolis, then another hour or so flight to Rapid city, SD..... then we had to drive an hour into sturgis/spearfish.

That board was a pain in the ass. It needs more colors for quick reference. imagine having 40 channels with 17 monitor mixes on each channel strip and having to find one of those knobs... there were only two colors on the monitor mixes, so after breaking it down to odd or even I had to count up 8 and 9 rows.

the good news is that about half the musicians smoke weed.... the bad news is that we haven't been able to get any. This is what sucks about country tours.... all your fans are republicans. With any other rock tour I would have slutty 18 year old, professional cock suckers giving me weed to lick my balls.

maybe that is a little over-statement, but Im sticking with it anyway.

I will be using a different board every night..... so there will be no "getting it down pat".
If shit works out, I will be heading to Canoodia next week..... which is cool, since I have yet to ever be outside of the US.

If I get to stay on this tour (and it looks like I will), I will be visiting West Virginia, California, Vancouver, minnesota, michigan, new mexico and washington.
with the exception of two of those, they will all be places I have never visited before.

So... if shit works out, I am going to be busy until the end of septemeber..... and then after that, I should have enough experience to get on another tour.
The great part about all of this is that I have completely bullshitted my way through seeming competent.
I am working with gear that I have never seen before, and I am exponentially learning more in this week than I have learned through my year of running FOH at 3rd and lindsley.

Just yesterday I had this guy named Keith who was working as my assistant engineer who is about to go on tour with Led Zeppelin..... YES BITCHES, THE ZEP HAS ALREADY HAD 2 PRACTICE SESSIONS AND PLANS ON DOING A VERY BRIEF TOUR.
He was very bitter about getting kicked off the Foreigner tour though.

Im going to bed..... Demius, I will be back in town on Monday afternoon, but probably have to work throughout the week at 3rd, but I get out early (probably) on tuesday and thursday.... and if the show goes well tomorrow, I will be going back out on the road saturday or sunday.
