LNC- Mouth from the Goonies

Is all grown up and married and not so mouthy lol. Whats everyone up to tonight? I'm bored as usual. I watched intervention today and cried and watched this dude lay in a storm drain for a half an hour crying and sayin he wanted to kill himself. It was sad it really was. He ended up relapsing....:shrug: Anybody have any rehab success stories?

tonight i'm resting up, i have a long day ahead of me tomorrow. going to do some tubing and check out the dream theater show, should be a good time. until then, i could really use a beer.

as far as rehab goes, my brother in law kicked a serious coke habit back in the day.

m00nshine is currently vacationing in Maui. Rumor has it he got rolled by drunken natives and is currently prostituting himself in order to pay for airfare back to the mainland but he's having trouble juggling a hairon addiction. He won't be back for a long while.

Oh god where to start....

Tonight, as usual I went to a house owned by three friends with the intention of getting hammered and watching the football game (CFL... it's an appetizer for NFL season really.)  Anyway, at one point my friend says -- in a drunken haze -- let's eat mushrooms.

So I go home on my bike and get them because nobody else has any, and we have a fun, but fairly drunken trip... we spend lots of time laughing; I expected nothing more than just enjoying being with my best buddies.  And I did.

Then towards the end of the night, as we were all coming down, my friend became paranoid and suspicious about everything I did, accusing me of conspiring to piss him off for every action I took and every gesture I made....

Now, know enough not to take it personally; people's impulses and deep feelings really show through during psychedelic experiences. I can accept that.  He had made accusations all night -- not just at me -- about random shit... I just chalked it up to drug confusion, impulse thinking... whatever.

Then he took my last bowl I was about to smoke before going to sleep and blew it away, all over the carpet.  That was the last straw and I stormed out, I took my mushrooms and my generosity with me and left. 

I was understandably pissed all the way home, but I know that the thing really getting at me is that I know he's a bitter, bitter person deep inside.  He is an alcoholic; he drinks a six every day without question, usually more.

I can only guess at why he has such a general resentment for everything.  His mother is fairly normal, but I have never heard him (in the eight years I've known him) mention his father.  I am sure he doesn't even know who he is.  From his day-to-day activities, he seems to be fairly well adjusted, but this man has such a vast chip on his shoulder... it really became sorely evident tonight. 

I love him to death but I know he is destined to destroy himself.  The other night he made an offhand comment about how he knows he isn't going to live very long, the way he lives.

I could call him a coward, a pathetic drowning alcoholic (maybe I did?), but he could never understand where I'm coming from.  He is so stubborn and determined to do nothing but drink himself to death, even if he sometimes forgets his intended destination.  I know that is his intention, even if he never distills  down into words.

I am not worried what I will say to him tomorrow.  It doesn't really matter.  He will brush it off as drunken meaningless shit like he does with everything. I will continue to serve him as his friend the best I can.

The drugs and alcohol have worn off for me... There is nothing bothering me about the whole night except that I realized that I am going to watch my friend destroy himself, and I don't feel like I can do anything or say anything to stop it. I am crying for him right now.

Thank you to anyone that read my whole rant. I don't often spill my guts on here but I needed to tonight.  I love you all and I am thankful for the awesome people here.
