he wasnt caught redhanded.. the feds got some guys looking at time to take a plea bargain and roll over on Vicks name.. while I will admit, Im sure he had some involvement and will end up doing time.. but im still not going to begin judging him until he has had the chance to atleast defend himself.

thats honestly the impression I get from SOME people.. If this was Peyton Manning im sure people would have a much different reaction. and be much more willing to give him the benefit of the doubt.

again, its too early to tell. we'll have to wait probably until the end of the football season before we know what will happen with Vick.

No matter what, you have just got to be stunned by the mind numbing stupidity of the man. I can actually appreciate hacking your ex-wife to death but to totally destroy (or even risk, I could have been Joe Hardy for a few years for that much) 100 million dollars worth of earnings because of some ridiculous desire to see dogs chew each other to pieces is just beyond stupid. We need a new word. Even if he had just attended dog fights, but no, stupid douchebag had to actually invest in it. Beyond stupid. Anencephalic?

Peyton would never have put himself in such a stupid situation. But, I can agree with you....it is possible that Vick had no clue what was going on. If he had no clue then he deserves to be exonerated by the criminal justice system. We really should wait until all of the facts come out.

But, you must admit that if he was involved then his career is OVER and he will be forever villified.

Hey...when someone is from the 'hood what do you expect?  Most NFL players are black and most of them came from the ghetto.  They grew up watching people selling drugs and being shot and shit.  This is how they usually act...even when they make a bunch of money.  :shrug:

I agree, IF he is proven to be involved his career should be over and he should do time. period.

I think there are several things Vick knew. 1) I think he knew what his property was being used for... now im not saying he participated, but I think he probably knew what was going down. 2.) I DONT think he knew how the animals were being treated and what not.. but i could be wrong.

I just dont see why a professional athlete with that kind of money would risk it all.. It wouldnt be unreasonable to assume that he gave money to some of his friends to fund this though.

Ummmmmm no. People would be at least as disgusted and just as quick to pull the trigger in light of the information available. You don't hear any substantive denials from Vick, just a perp "I didn't do it". I'm sorry but the man is burnt, busted and finished. And quit raising straw men. It's bullshit. "If my Mama......you wouldn't be". Probably, but it wasn't.

Bullshit, if this was Peyton Manning it would be much different.

Vick isnt commenting because he has been instructed not to do so, as most defendants are.. keep in mind, this is an ongoing court case...a statement was issued on his behalf by his attorny saying that he was innocent and that this was an attempt to make him look bad.

again, we'll see what happens, thats all we can do.

No it fucking wouldn't. They were both paragons and one has apparently been a heinous asshole. White boys at Duke were buried right away, or did you miss that. Given the apparent facts, it would probably be even worse for Peyton since he doesn't have the "I'm a nigger" excuse, which so many seem to be willing to bestow (RF).

Let me break this down how it works.

Mike Vick wont say anything because a public statement can be used against you in the courts.. Why would you risk issuing a public statement when you have to issue a sworn statement at court, if there are ANY differences in his statements, he is fucked.. could even just leave something out and be charged with obstructing justice.

so of course he isnt saying shit before he issues his sworn testimony. who would?

his attornies have said that he is innocent and he entered a not guilty plea.. what more do you want at this time? without him jeporidizing the entire trial.

Did you notice how the NAACP immediately came to the defense of Vick? Did they come to the defense of those wrongly accused white Duke lacrosse players? Fuck no. Classic double standard/victimhood politically correct bullshit that is all too often pulled by black people and organizations.

I agree 100%, thats why I always have the attitude of innocent until proven guilty.. although when facts are presented, i can then form my opinion.

i know the basics of the duke lacross shit, but didnt really follow it.. what was the outcome? was it proven that they were innocent?

Nasty and questionable black stripper/prostitute goes to a party where the white Duke lacrosse players were. She claims they raped her.

It turns out that this bitch has a really shady past, is completely unbelievable, and there is no evidence to support her accusations. The over-zealous prosecutor looking to make a name for himself goes after the allegations with gusto (in the process smearing the lacrosse players with every chance he can get). He recently ended up admitting that the charges were baseless and that he was wrong.

If I own a home in which drugs are sold I can lose the home to forfiture, no need of conviction.
If I own a home in which a brothel is run I can again lose the home to forfiture
If I own a home in which dogs are fought and killed I will lose my home to forfiture. If gambling is involved ( and what dog fight is not about betting?)then another heavy federal charge is attached.
Point is It does not really matter if you know what is happening on your property it is yours and you are responsible for it.
In that regard Vick is guilty as sin.
The only real debate is his criminal involvment as his moral bankruptcy is already proven.
I would personaly like to see him do a couple decades if convicted. That is in place of putting a solid collar on his neck and tourniquets on his arms and legs so he can't bleed out too quick and fed to his creations, if he is guilty.
Forgive my sarcasm as I find it beyond belief that this all happened right under poor Vicks nose and he had no clue. Even stupid jocks have to have a tiny clue, don't they?.
I have two dogs rescued from men like these. Two dogs who due to there gentle nature would have been offered up as practice to the more aggresive ones then brutaly killed after they were torn to shreds. Even if Vick is as dumb as a stone and had no clue the fact he attended the fights( on his property) makes him by circumstance beyond doubt guilty to some degree which the courts will determine. Either way he has stuck his own dick up his ass and better have something to fall back on after he gets out of the joint

I'm sorry, he can say anything he wants. "I didn't know nuthin bout wut dem niggaz wuz doin wit my money" would be a start. Except his attorneys seem to think that there is a greater gain in trying to beat the rap on crap than in trying to preserve his marketability, which is worth tens of millions. They are willing to forfeit tens of millions of dollars in order to beat the criminal rap. Man, connect.

There is nothing that the NAACP can do that will mean anything to me. I don't expect them to defend innocent white boys and I don't expect them to condemn black boys, guilty or innocent. They do not exist in the thinkosphere.
