The TV's tone.

When turned on the TV emits a very high pitched frequency that goes inside your head.

People that use TV regularly do not seem to notice. Those who are in total abstinence notice fully.

My brother keeps his TV on when he's not in the room, just an empty videogame screen sitting there.

And I can always tell it's on by the tone, when I simply walk by, the tone is there going into my brain.

I do not know if this is bad or good or neither.

I can hear it too.. I hate when people leave the TV on, it drives me insane. You can hear it from anywhere in the house.

That's something new. I watch TV a lot. I guess i will never hear it..hah. But i have a question, does a pc monitor also emit a high-pitched tone?

i think they do

the washing machine emits a tone. a lot of things emit tones.

i know it's not just me because this girl who never watches tv came over to see a movie with me, and i turned the tv on and i was like "ewww do you hear that?" and she is like "YEAH what is that?????" we found it rather repugnant.

it could be trying to calibrate the third eye though, perhaps?

this topic comes up pretty often 'round here.

i believe that any tone coming over the tv is not going to be good for me. just listen to it... it does not sound good at all. that frequency is part of what keeps you glued to your seat viewing for hours on end. it's brain entrainment.

every electrical device hums, some more perceptibly than others.
that's why blackout are so great. the field is dead for a little bit. the 60hz grid we all live in suddenly goes away and we experience what it used to feel like before it was in place.

everyone should read the authors Paul Brodeur and Robert O. Becker for more on this.

I can walk up to a house, not even enter it, you can have the tv on mute and I know before I cross the threshold that your tv is on.

Tv's aren't too bad, some people's hearing aids and those little sonic devices used to drive away rodents drive me crazy!  :weirdeyes:

i used to dream incessantly that when i muted the tv i could still hear it

then i realized it was true one day, it doesn't stop making noise all the way, but this seems to be scrambled in layers of deja vu and dream memories so i'm not sure 100% anymore, but i was sure 100% at the time of understanding.

this one movie theater is really bad, the people working in the ticket booth must be braindead from all the buzzing, and a lot of people don't seem to hear it lol.

i've heard some stores will play this buzzing at a frequency only young people can hear so that it will drive them crazy and keep them from loitering? isn't this evil mind-control ? it's gotta be bad for even those that can't hear it.

I have a crazy theory that scientific people will totally thrash, but it seems like more and more people are going crazy with shootings and murder and such.  Since some of us can hear sounds others can't it makes sense to me that all the cell phones, radio waves, tv transmissions and such put off waves of some sort that are intruding our minds and causing some people to lose it that no one can hear.

Now I know there have always been murders, rapes and violence but it seems to be happening more often with less reason.  And I recently heard of someone inventing a device that stops some of the electronic currents from being heard or absorbed by a person.  So I can't be the only one who has thought of this.  Guess I better go make my tin foil hat!  :grin:

i don't know about that causing these flip outs, rather, the MEDIA obviously, if your soundtrack is something like "i'm gonna kill you bitch" and you listen to it all the time you're either gonna have a great sense of humor! :smile: or perhaps develop mental problems

I see what you are saying, but question this when applied to all the mothers and fathers killing their children.  I doubt that is from media hype or music.  Of course, since I don't understand doing that AT ALL I can't really conceive of a reason or trigger.

Like I said, I know it's a crazy theory.  Just something I came up with.  Not sure how much I believe it myself.  :plur:

All mammals become violent when their population reaches an excessive density for their living environment.  :shrug:  Throw in the way infants are "welcomed" into the world, the insane pace of living that most of us maintain, and the poor physical and mental health of many humans, and you can easily understand the increase in violent tendencies.

I keep my TV on pretty much 24/7 except when I sleep or am out of the house but I know exactly what you guys are talking about. Anything electrical make a noise and it's real bad in my grandparents house (my guess is the old wiring)

... i noticed that the first time i saw a tv we are sound junkies this is the world of vibration! i can make my body make higher pitches and cause people to feel the effects of drugs. people want to say its placebo cause they cant do it so i make those people kill each other.

exactly and if your the problem then you love it and if your not you dont and if your part of the solution then you love it and hate it then you hate to love it. then you realise your part of the problem too and thats the only true way to live or you would give you money to every random person and then kill your self somewhere you will never be found so no one knows you died
