The 4th and 5th Dimension

Ive been thinking a lot about this, can anyone put into words what living in the 4th dimension is? How can you interpret this?
-------------------- Man is timid and apologetic; he is no longer upright; he dares not say "I think," "I am," but quotes some saint or sage. He is ashamed before the blade of grass or the blowing rose.Man postpones or remembers; he does not live in the present, but with reverted eye laments the past, or, heedless of the riches that surround him, stands on tiptoe to foresee the future. He cannot be happy and strong until he too lives with nature in the present, above time TRANSCEND

can anyone please put also into words what living at the 16th level of the mystical unicorn shadow realm means to them?
you ask us a question, asking us to define the terms of your question?

Isn't the 4th dimension time?
-------------------- “Strengthened by contemplation and study, I will not fear my passions like a coward. My body I will give to pleasures, to diversions that I’ve dreamed of, to the most daring erotic desires, to the lustful impulses of my blood, without any fear at all, for whenever I will— and I will have the will, strengthened as I’ll be with contemplation and study— at the crucial moments I’ll recover my spirit as was before: ascetic.”

Isn't the 4th dimension time?
in one way of looking at it, yes, but not necessarily the way of looking at it, which we haven't yet discovered.
my point is that here we have a question which essentially asks nothing, because the one to whom the question is posed is left to define the question for themself.
i could ask, "tell me your response to a question, any queston, of your own creation." and it'd essentially be the same thing.

What do you mean we haven't discovered the way of looking at it?
I've only ever heard of th 4th dimension defined as time.
Btw, meant to respond to original poster, my bad.

What do you mean we haven't discovered the way of looking at it?
currently we have 2 different fundamental systems for predicting what we observe in the universe. at "large" distances, things behave according to as described by general relativity. at "small" distances, quantum mechanics holds true.
the two systems are contradictory(!) and neither always works. they are good at describing things within their respective realms, but just like newtonian physics, they are just a description that fits what we see "well enough" to be useful for now.
they are not the 'grand theory of everything' physicists are seeking.
imagine you are an ant on the suface of a clock. you are a very smart ant, and eventually, you figure out the patterns - you know how the hands move and your theory, "the general theory of rotational motion" exactly predicts where the hands will be and what they will do.
your theory is already a hell of a lot better than what human physicists have now - you have one theory and it's right all of the time and doesn't contradict itself.
but you do not know how the clock works, nor will you ever.

Excellent analogy.

Doood, I never read that book, but I have seen a short video explaining very closely what you wrote.... For some reason, when I read the first few posts, this analogy popped into mind, but I thought that I wouldn't have the right words nor the patients to write it out.... My homework seems to have already been done for me.... Thank you....! A+

yes, i find the flatland analogy mentioned by diecommie very helpful in grasping these cross dimensional viewpoints.
it helps me to remember that my body exists everywhere, in every possible dimension, on every spot on the spectrum so to speak. it's only the observational point on which i stand that determines how i am experiencing my existence.
you ask what the forth dimension is like. try to glimpse it, even if only for a split second..
imagine you, your body walking down the street, the cars around you passing by, the birds in the sky sailing with the wind..
i think that from a 4D persective, you could still perfectly observe yourself, the cars, and the birds moving through space, but in addition to that, i believe you would also be able to see the five minutes (more or less) involved in this experience as a tangible object that you could feel, as if it had a shape, its own texture.. and other physical properties that could perhaps even enable you to stretch and rotate the temporal moment, as if it were a solid 3D object here in our native dimensional realm.
try practicing with creative visualization and see what you can glimpse.
access to 4D is by no means restricted to us global villagers. it even seems that this is where we are actually heading.
happy trails.

This is what made me ask this question. I read something about 2012 saying that humans are going to transcend to the 4th/5th dimension. I just wanted to get a better understanding.

How could anybody possibly know? We are in the 3rd dimension so focusing on anything other than that seems like a waste of time. When and if the time comes, we will get our answers.

we are already in the very midst of the transcension, IMO.
the manifestation of the noosphere points to this.
our bodies may still be on ground, but our minds, the ideas we transmit, the vibrations we emanate.. they are up in the sky, covering the planetary radius with an internet of information.
evolution is a gradual thing, unless it is catalysed by a sudden revelation.
nonetheless it goes on.
yes, i think we'll just have to see what happens.

my analogy for the higher dimensions
people on a 2d plane see a hand reaching from the 3d plane into the 2d
all they see are the tips of the fingers as 5 circles in the sky
but as you reach higher dimension you see how everything is connected
which would be an entire hand in this case
hope this helps
