For the record, there is a difference between faith and blind faith, to which you are referring. These are aspects of faith most take for granted, but can often be overlooked when one is trying to determine a source of unrest inside. (Or, in other words, these less-acknowledged aspects of faith are highly relevant to spirituality and should not be discounted.)

Faith in your own subconscious actions, for instance... or faith in the laws of physics.


Just some thoughts. Faith gets a bad rap from those who apply the concept mixed with ignorance and denial.

No, i can agree that there is a chance that a god exists. There is no denying that. But what defines an atheist is the fact that we realize that the probability of a god existing is almost null because it defy's evolution and the way we have come to understanding this universe.

it doesnt defy evolution...it only defies evolution if you take the bible literally. so if you can agree that there's a chance that god exists, then you don't have complete faith in atheism.

you'd be irrational to believe 100% that god cant exist, and you'd be irrational to believe 100% that god does exist. it's both faith, just on the opposite side of the spectrum.

Does he come and kick it with us, does he impact our daily lives, does he do anything at all that is of relavance to us? i don't have a need to believe anything is out there and exists as god, it's just something that i know. i believe god is everything. god is in each of us. our egos are just what make us forget that. society has corrupted us, but without society, we wouldn't be what we are. so i guess you could say it's a necessary evil. every time you see another person, animal, plant, cell, whatever it is, you're just looking at a reflection of yourself.

this is something that i now know, and that i have come to realize. ask me how i know it, and i can't explain it, i just know it. it's just as irrational as your belief that there is no god.

every religion in the world is correct. the only problem with religion is that religion is a human invention. there's corruption in it. religion comes from spirituality. spirituality is true, it's not man made, and it can't be corrupt. i guess you could say religion is man's interpretation of spirituality.

does god do anything that is of relevance to us? yes, god does. god is consciousness. without god, nothing would exist. god is life.

so, does the fact that i believe this and you don't have any benefit to me? no, not really. i just realize that we are all one. it just gives me the foundation of how to live my life. i see the pointlessness of screwing each other over.
