What is the best site for guitar tabs?

Download the Power Tab there (it takes 2 seconds) then you can download pretty much any song anybody has heard of.

Power tab can actually play the tab for you so you can get a better sense of the timing, and also instantly hear if the tab is incorrect.

Pretty much all tab sites suck ass. They are largely inaccurate and to play it well, I have to learn it by ear anyway. The best tabs sites I have found are ones that are fan sites (like whole sites dedicated to one band that have all their songs.)

Pretty much the two tab sites I go to are rukind.org and http://jerrygarciatabs.googlepages.com/....other than that, sheet music is really the only the legitmate option for good tabs.

Most tabs will never be perfect, they give you an idea of how to play them...then figure out the wrong parts by ear.

Too true, I'd say most beginners start with tabs and then just progress ahead and start doing it by ear. But tabs are great help

I wouldn't start off only learning by ear unless you are determined to advance as slowly as possible.

olga used to be good, whatever happened to it? yeah i think most of the time you can only use tabs as a guide, and then go from there. but that's why i'm asking which site is the best (for accuracy).

It was shut down a few years ago due to copyright issues.

The best for accuracy is definitely http://www.powertabs.net. You can see ratings and comments before you download it, and then just push play to hear what it sounds like.

Any other text format tab is a crapshoot. Most are not very good.
