Is there any one out there that knows if smelly proof baggies work?

Don't have experience with them. I assume for marijuana? Someone suggested double or triple bagging it with some vasaline in between a layer.

Or to keep dogs from smelling it? Because I don't think that second one is possible.

Well you have to be careful not to touch the outside of the bag after you've touched the pot...so you don't get the smell on the outside of the bag...but they work pretty well. I don't know if dogs can smell through the bag, but I think the dogs could smell the odor on you anyway.

Dogs are wicked good smellers. I don't know if you could defeat them using ordinary technology. Maybe vacuum packed, double-layered, then inside oil in a sealed container. Be an interesting experiment.

I've walked past dogs with an oz in a bag wrapped up with no air inside of it, then I placed that bag in another bag and took all the air out of it, then sprayed some deodourant in an anti-static bag and then put the other 2 bags inside of that, again ensuring that there is as little air as possible inside of that. Then I put this triple baggy inside a thick fabric bag, and then this inside my rucksack (hah I'm cautious).

I walked past some pigs with dogs (which was hella sketch) and they didn't start barking at me.. so all was good :grin:
