It can be so frustrating. Using a pick first would make your life a lot easier, just so you can get to know the fretboard and notes.. but I suppose learning the finger style first thing would make it easier in the long run. I adapted quick, I actually started off slapping and shit like that. It's fun.

The first shit I tried to learn was "Speak Free" by Incubus, LOL. Took me for-fucking-ever to get it down to where it sounded halfway right.

Whenever I'm walking around with headphones on I always zero in on the basslines in songs, I just love em, and I always find myself playing air-bass moreso than air-guitar or air-drums.
