Portable Breathalyzers...

With the legal limit being .08 these days. How many of you have went out to the bar, had a few drinks, next thing you know its time to go. You may feel fine, and barely have a buzz, but your not quite sure if you would pass a Breathalyzer test if you were pulled over, even though you feel your okay to drive? I sure as hell have.

We all know that blowing a .08 can involve very little alcohol. Not to mention how everyone's body processes differently. Some more fast, some slowly.

Having said that, would you purchase and use a (inexpensive) key chain portable Breathalyzer test that is accurate? This way, you can feel comfortable about driving home and could literally save you thousands even though you "feel okay". I can't tell you how many friends, and I'm sure you know some too, that went to the bar, felt fine leaving, gets pulled over, even though he's had 2 drinks an hour ago, he blows over.

I would really appreciate your thoughts on using such a device?

As I said in my first post, I was wondering if you'd purchase one. I can get a deal on a wholesale lot, but don't want to buy them and sit on them, I know they already exist, there's many out there.

i'm thinking people will buy it if they are easy to obtain. and I set the price low. what do you guys think?

i bet if you took some "tums" or something like that you could be a breathanylizer.

someone should buy one of these and run some tests

i have an alcohawk that i use sometimes. it works well as far as i can tell.

if there was a key chain breathalyzer that was accurate i suppose i'd use it. my only concern would be that it would be too bulky in my pockets. i don't carry around the alcohawk, i just leave it in the center console of the car. a key chain has to stay in your pocket though, and that can get annoying if it's bulky.

i guess it all depends on how accurate you can make a tiny tiny device.
