wisdom teeth

im going to have to get all four of mine pulled within a few weeks, none of them are outside of gums yet. My question to anyone whos had thier's pulled: am i going to be able to work the next day? do i get pain pills or does it not even hurt that much. iv heard a lot of different things from people i know, lots of it contradictory

I experienced no pain or discomfort after the operation. Didn't even take the Vicodin. It was nothing.

My first one cut out was a motherfucker, I got a dry socket,
something you want to never experience.

Then a few years later, I had the other 3 cut out, I had gas, and lots of shit in the Chair, never felt a thing.

Motto is, find a GOOD dentist.
Both doctors gave me Demerol, but even that could not kill the dry socket pain.

i could have worked the same day, i was a little swollen and sore, but not much pain

you'll get 10-20 vicodin or percocet

mine were fully exposed though, easy to get out without damaging the surrounding bone/tissues

I had all four of mine taken out. They gassed me, I had a stuffed chipmunk face for about a week, eating liquid food through a straw and all the painkillers I would ever need.

I was 100% in a week. Good times.

meh.. i have teeth problems ever since i started going to the dentist. MY wisdom teeth are awsome though :laugh:

do whatever possible to avoid dry socket

dry sockets occur when tissue/bone surrounding the tooth is damaged during removal and the blood supply isn't adequate to heal the socket. this leads to dead tissue/bone that hurts and may need to be removed.

keep the blood clots, don't smoke, don't eat solid foods, don't suck on stuff

smoked pot and drank beer the next day
did a bunch of blow and H starting the day after
ate E/acid/mushrooms about a week afterward
