Just improv'd this... still a rough cut, but I thought you guys might enjoy:

--

My heart is in need. A place for to pour.
Before you can blink, you're a part of the mission.
Both foul and righteous, they come from my door-way.
Betrayed by their youthfully eternal vision.

My arms cannot reach. My mind cannot soar.
My lips cannot drink and my ears cannot listen.
So pained by my plight; it is hard to be sure
of a love that persists beyond rationalism.

My heart, as it bleeds, leaves my grace on the floor.
Distress and the brink can't take back what I've given.
These kinks and these paths all lead back to my door.
By now it's quite clear that I can't keep persisting.

The art and the artist; a distinction no more.
The hardest relinquishment left for admittance.
These ardent and accurate eyes of no more...
They're here for my use. I'm here to bear witness.
