Fairy Ring Champignons ?
    #7123356 -

I found these in the same spot i was hunting at last year,, i'm pretty sure they're Marasmius oreades but i'm not confident enough to trust myself fully yet.
Strange how they are growing at the start of July,, and the patches i found were no where near as widespread as last year (only afew patches in one area of the field).

I thought i'd let you check first if you'd be so kind,, .

Habitat area.

Habitat - In a grassy field, grazed by sheep. Growing quite densely in quarter circles.

Gills - Light caramel colour, not attached to stem.

Stem - Caramel to white,,, usually white at the base going up the stem half inch or so, and near the cap as well.
They're tough and don't snap when bent around a finger,, though they detach from the cap fairly easily by holding the cap and bending the stem from left to right.

Cap - Convex at first with a nipple (not so noticeable when very young),, later flat/slightly up turned at the edges,,, but the nipple still stays pronounced in the centre.
The nipple is usually darker than the light caramel cap.

Spore print - White,, spores drop quickly.

Bruising - None.

Location - UK.

You can have a guess at these little guys if you want,, i didn't pick them and i have no description.
Just these pics,, but i'm not too bothered if i can't get an ID..

I want the Champignons for my tea tonight,, .

Thanks for any help.

Thanks you,,.
They're earlier than usual but we've had record rainfall here over the last few weeks !
They seem to be free from bugs as well.

Thanks again Dan !.

An important feature of those Marasmius is the extreme toughness of the stems. There are very few mushrooms whose stems can take the sort of abuse those will without breaking.

Happy mushrooming!
