Antidepressants

Monday, the 2nd, I've got an appointment to go see a psychologist. They'll be evaluating my depression and stress and some other things and will most likely prescribe some antidepressant. As some of you know, I'm in the army, trying to get out and while these are real issues it also could be my exit. So, what antidepressants are especially strong to the point of perhaps requiring separation? I'm doing some research, but names and experiences would help.

Well, first... just in case you don't know a psychologist isn't a real doctor, and can't prescribe you anything. Unless it's different in the Army or something. A psychiatrist is the person who throws drugs at you and sends you out the door, for the most part.

I don't know of anything that would help you to get discharged, and i've personally never taken anything worse than Cymbalta or Effexor... but i know Lithium is getting pretty serious, if you want to look at it that way. I would never take the stuff though, i'd rather try to swallow a live grenade. And if you go in there asking about Lithium or some other extreme anti-depressant they'll probably think your either uninformed or bat shit crazy for wanting to try the stuff in the first place.
