Good choice on the pan trop. They are one of my favorites for all out journies.
This is how I pasturize dung. I go to a cow field and look for OLD not fresh dung. It has to be old. Taking about a half a 5 gallon bucket full I come back to the house and find a very large pot. About the size of a seafood steamer. Get a pillow case and stuff the dung in it. Next place the bag of dung in the pot and fill the pot up with water. Place a weight of some sorts on top of the dung to keep it under the water . Put a lid on the pot and heat it to around150 degreesF for about an hour. Use a cooking thermometer. Then take the dung out and let cool while still in the pillow case on a rack over the sink to drain. thats it. For added nutrients I normally add some chopped wheat straw to the dung before I cook it. Either way is good.
