Thanks man I'll give it a whirl when Panda Bear is done playing.

Jewunit: You should check out Voxtrot too. Their EP's are better than their full-length if you need any recommendations.

And Tokyo Police Club. Yummy basslines galore.

They're going to be playing here in July, but I don't know if I want to go see them. I like them somewhat, but it's just so much the generic fucking "indie" music that I can barely make it through their cd. Plus, I can't imagine they have too much material to play since I believe they only have one release.

Yeah they play a very short set but they're very high-energy. I dunno, I'd rather see them than Voxtrot, I can tell ya that much.

You know that most of this Okkervil song is a cover of the Beach Boys right?

I had not the slightest clue. I've never been much of a Beach Boys fan. Do you have the original song?

I'll upload it when I'm home later, it's called John B. Sloop.

You should really listen to Pet Sounds by the Beach Boys, it's one of the best albums of all time, and one of the most influential too.

I just downloaded that cd and Okkervil River took quite a few liberties with that song, but still represented it great.

After hearing all of this indie-rock talk I want to make my hair greasy, slip into tight pants, and brag about listening to bands that nobody has ever heard of.
