Well I have a laptop which I use for the net, and a desktop which I use for video editing/as my stereo.


So if I get wireless through my windows and can steal someone else's connection, I;ll have it right away,. I'm bringing my laptop there later today just to check actually. I'll post from there if I've got access. :smile:

It's just my mini DV camera and my 800 MHz G4 iMac flatpanel...Final Cut Pro 3, never got my hands on 4. I'm not too fancy shmancy, only got five or so shorts under my belt.

Cool man, thats a decent enough setup anyway. I'm using Final Cut 4.5 HD. Final Cut 5 is out now, but if you want 4 I could hook you up, my work purchased a copy.

Do you work with HD cameras? My friend just got one for his film club at his school and they love them. But the HD footage takes up an ASSLOAD of space.

I haven't made anything in a while, but after the move, I think the inspirational juices will be overflowing.

Nah I don't work with HD cameras. They are coming down in price, but my boss is still a cheap bastard. I was playing around with the new Sony HD miniDV though, its a really nice camera. I'm just using the Canon XL1 on a G5.
I'd have to mail you the Final Cut DVD disc, so pm if you're interested. I wouldn't mind seeing some of your shorts too.

This corporate shit I've been doing lately is sucking up the creative juices, I really gotta start working on my own stuff.

I have an old Camera, I forget the model even...Sony DCR-PC10 maybe?  Not the PC5 I know that...it's pretty compact, I used to carry it around squeezed in my pants pocket..but then my pants would almost fall down.

I'll PM you, I'll send you a DVD of my shorts if I find one lying around, er if not I'll buy new blanks.
