Depends on what you like to do.

Museums, a world-class zoo, Seaworld, hang at the beach, shopping, sightseeing, etc. Its really up to you to decide what you like to do, but you give me a general idea and I can be more specific.

Balboa Park is interesting. Don't even need alot of money to hang out and enjoy. Best zoo I have ever been to. The Black is an awesome store in Ocean Beach.

All true. And I was just in The Black this afternoon. Walked down there with a friend (I live in OB).

Definitely check out La Jolla Shores. There's a really kick ass tide pool alllll the way past the life gaurd towers. Some nice little mom and pop burger joints down there too.

There's Sunset Cliffs....La Jolla Cove. The cove has sea lions on it at almost all hours of the day.

Balboa park is pretty fun to just walk around in. It helps to soak in some of the city. Stay away from Sea World if you can.

Mission Beach is a nice area. Roller coaster, other rides and an arcade.

Definately hit up La Jolla Shores. It's riiiight up the 52 West.

Good luck man!

Hey do they still have the Scripps Aquarium up there? I used to like going to it too. You get the ocean vibe without the hassle of SeaWorld.

I have yet to find a store as cool as The Black since I moved to the Southeast.

Cool thanx guys. Ill be hitting up La Jolla for sure, sounds like an awsome place. And Im guessin La Jolla Cove is right there right...?

Ill skip SeaWorld and the zoo, will probably hit the beach a bit, maybe the gaslamp quarters aswell but Im not sure.

Mushbaby - Balboa Park sounds cool but we are kinda tight on cash so most of our sight-seeing is gonna have to be as close as free as possible, is there much to see there without dropping much cash as you say?
And whats The Black? I googled and it seems to be a big headshop... correct? Worth checking if youre not a stoner? Ill be going with someone who has only smoked once in their life and isnt really into it...

Balboa Park is a large park with about 10 museums. But there are alot of gardens as well. Some of the stuff is free, next to the Museum of Art is a smaller (used to be free) art collection. I haven't been back home in years so some things will have changed. There's also alot of people like street performers/card and palm readers in the common area. At least on weekends.

The Black has a little something for everyone. But it is not cheap! But the person that recommended La Jolla is right. It's not called the Jewel for no reason. Enjoy the vacation and if you get a chance try out Rubio's. When I left there was just one restaurant, now they are a chain and everywhere.
