Your Summer Concert Series? Here's Mine!
    #7047554 -

Seems summer's a cool catalyst for a bullogeoning of stellar performances by many of our favorite musicians.  This is the
first year that I've ever planned to see more than a show or two... largely due to my improved financial situation but also
because I've really settled into and developed my own personal taste for music.  So without further ado, here's what I've
seen quite recently, and have plans to hit throughout the duration of the year:
  • Dark Star Orchestra at the el Rey Theater, Los Angeles, CA (couple moons past)
  • Roger Waters performing Dark Side of the Moon at the Hollywood Bowl (yesterday and last year)
  • Australian Pink Floyd at Pala Casino, Greater Los Angeles, June 19, 2007
  • Norah Jones at the Greek Theater, Griffith Park, June 21, 2007
  • Widespread Panic at the Orpheum Theater, Los Angeles, June 28, 2007
  • Dread Zeppelin & Cubensis (Dead cover) at the Lake Casitas Event Area/Campground near Ojai, June 30, 2007
  • KCRW's World Music "Cafe Tacuba" at the Hollywood Bowl, July 15, 2007
  • LA Philharmonic "Classics Under the Stars" at the Hollywood Bowl, July 17, 2007
  • LA Philharmonic "Beethoven & Brahms" at the Hollywood Bowl, July 19, 2007
  • RatDog and Keller Williams at the Greek Theater in Griffith Park, July 28, 2007
  • Sgt. Pepper @ 40 - A Beatles Celebration with Cheap Trick at the Hollywood Bowl, August 11, 2007
  • Jazz at the Bowl with John Scofield, August 15, 2007
  • Jazz at the Bowl with Dave Brubeck and Bruce Hornsby, August 22, 2007
  • Gipsy Kings at the Greek Theater in Griffith Park, CA  August 25, 2007
  • KCRW's World Music "Underworld" featuring Paul Oakenfold at the Hollywood Bowl, September 9, 2007
  • Steve Vai at the Wiltern, Los Angeles, September 11, 2007
  • Dave Matthews Band at the Hollywood Bowl, October 2, 2007
  • Steve Miller Band at the Greek Theater, October 6, 2007
  • To be continued...

How about you.. psyched about any upcomming shows?!
Given my above picks, anything else you think I should be considering?

PS. ƒuck Ticketmaster's inconvenience charge!
But how the hell else are you supposed to score decent tickets? :crying:

I started playing in the stock market about two years ago.  Didn't have much to show for it until recently, but it was a tremenous learning experience.  As of late, the market has been on a huge rally and I managed to pocket about $4,000 in profits since January!    Anyone in the US who is interested in stock investments, I would suggest tuning in at 6 or 11 pm EST daily for Jim Cramer's Mad Money program on CNBC.  Don't get too caught up in his excitement, as I did in the beginning (and ended up getting burned).  But listen to what he has to say, and if you have the time to spend at least one hour per week for each stock you intend to hold (this hour being spent keeping up with the stock's specific news, sector related news, and the overall economy), then you could stand to learn a lot from this wild man.  It's like a free investment course, and though I'm getting way off topic, the information he provides to help the layman understand the market is invaluable.  Better than any investment related course I've taken in any educational institution

Welcome evermore to gods and men is the self-helping man.  For him all doors are flung wide: him all tongues greet, all honors crown, all eyes follow with desire.  Our love goes out to him and embraces him, because he did not need it.

I'd post mine but I see three concerts a week on average so I might get a lil lengthy.  As far as big boys go it'd be Wilco, Daft Punk, White Stripes.
