I heard of a guy doing it, didn't know what he was doing. Stuff grew through, didn't know what to do with it. Never pinned. So he said fuck it, scratched off most the verm (leaving a thin covering of verm) and got the fattest flush he's ever seen about a week later.

I'll have to let my friend know he's a bit off then and maybe let him know how he may fix the current situation. Thanks for the input, as always much appreciated.------------------ ::peace:: noisecode the fungus are amongus!!

I'm casing right now with plain vermiculite & I've done this succesfully in the past.Problems in the past have been that the 'shrooms have been small suckers. I do believe that this has to do with my previous strain though. I am currently growing Golden Teachers and they have grown mighty big specimens in the past. If you mail me in a couple of days I can give you a report of the actual shroom size grown from casings with plain vermiculite. Hope I cleared things up...

I just got done with my crop(lost the second flush on due to cobweb mold!) and had 4 trays, 2 were cased with straight Verm and 2 were cased with ZooDoo (zoo shit) the Zoodoo casings fruited first and provided the biggest shrooms.....had a 7"tall 4" cap weight was around 22grams....this was a EQ. the Verm casings fruited but took longer to do so....and the shooms were a few inches shorter on average than the zoodoo casings....I also think the zoodoo aided in my lose to cobweb mold....oh well, I just get to start again! But Verm does work and it is less suceptiable to contams....have a frined who usually only cases with Verm and sees nice crops...------------------ "To all the weed I've smoked......yo this blunts for you" "To all the people I've offended.....Yea, FUCK YOU TOO! ~Quote from Eminem~ ~PanTrop~

Heres some not so good pics. But these were cased using plain vermiculite. This strain is EQ, from Ryche Hawk and friends. BTW:This pic is of a tray in its second flush, thats why its not thick with fruits. But they were rather large fruits. [This message has been edited by Lizard King (edited January 05, 2000).]

I'm using it right now and it's my first time casing. It's working great.I inoculated sterilized cow dung with bird seed cakes and cased with verm.Doing great so far also spraying with 3%peroxide And water. No signs of contamination. They are eqs by the way. Also deep scratched after colinization.[This message has been edited by CFH(COWBOY FROM HELL) (edited January 05, 2000).]
