I'm glad the final episode didn't offer any closure. I like the idea that the family continues. And it will.

because that's tired, and that's what you would've expected.
which also includes others' expectations for the finale: tony getting shot, his family killed, witness protection, arrested, terrorist explosion...

that's why this ending was so good. because it could still be any one of those.
david chase never did as you expected. he doesn't like to wrap up story lines into neat little packages with a bow, because life isn't like that.

the russian, hesh, the feds, carm's spec houses, carlo flipping... all untied up story lines, which now include the whole damn show.

life goes on.

I really liked the finale. I liked the way the second to last episode was really violent and left you thinking things would keep moving in that direction but instead everything just chilled. And I liked the last scene a lot. Even though it was happy it made me feel really sad. It was cool the way they put the family together, almost, with Meadow's arrival pending. Like it's so hard to get the whole family together, the same type of problems everyone has. And as the title suggests the show is about a family. Just the classic type of Leave It to Beaver television. It was cool the way it ended on that note, but with such an edgy feel to it. When Tony touched AJ's hand at the table, that just looked so real. I hope David Chase writes a novel. He's a great writer. Best TV drama ever.

i was puzzled by the ending but after contemplating the reasoning, i thought it was very welld one.

it showed at the final scene that the whole family was finally happy. Tony did something special that snapped AJ out of his depression, and Tony/Carmella are finally happy for meadow witih her big job offer.....

the end is left open for a possible movie, but honestly, II dont think David Chase is into that. He ended it his way, because the Sopranos is his family.

I really doubt they would do a movie because it's already HBO.

Yeah, I don't think there will be a movie either. What would be the point? Say goodbye to Tony and the rest of the boring gang forever.

Good riddence. The same thing happened with Seinfeld. The last few seasons sucked, and the finale was awful. At least they knew it was time to pull the plug.

it was the best, i figure any way chase goes with tony, killing him or having him arrested people would be pissed but with the open ending, everyone can just decide for themselfs what happens
