I thought they ended it great personally, with the cliff hanger effect and all. Very well done. So was the ending scene a bust, a hit, or a happy ending? I guess we'll never know.

lmao I was watching it in the room and my gf was watching it in the living room, so I joined her in the living room for the last 20 minutes of it. When the screen went black me and her ran to the other room, thinking it went out.


I bet you some dumbass or genius did that little ending with the blackout to make everyone think the signal was lost.


But what the hell, they should have done a little more and then give a cliff hanger...... that ending sucked

That was terrible, but that's what I've come to expect with that show.  This was a good season up until this boring excuse for a finale.  However, the past 3 seasons have sucked just as bad so I'm not suprised.

I was hoping the whole family would get whacked.  I grew to hate all of their characters by the end of this awful show.  Sopranos started off so good, and now it's just another mediocre show amongst many.  Thank god it's over.  I bet this gets panned by all the critics.

Going to smoke a stoge and see what this John from Cincinatti is all about.

I thought it was a pretty good ending. The show is about the life of a mob boss named Tony Soprano. When his life ended, so did the show. I'm pretty sure that cut to black was symbolic for being shot in the head.

good show.. I thought the cat was going to come into play somehow haha.

You know, like any great artist David Chase left his masterpiece open to the spectators own interpretation. Kudos to him for giving us 6 great seasons of this show. :chugbeer:

I just hope this shitty finale will finally put an end to the Italian mafia craze.  It's stale in my opinion.  I don't give a shit anymore about these people.  Godfather was Great.  Goodfellas was great.  Donnie Brasco and Bronx Tale were great.  Sopranos sucked.  Time to let it die...

I want to see some more Jewish mafia movies/tv shows.  :jewbot:

Nobody put a gun to your head and forced you into watching the past 3 seasons. I say the past 3 seasons because you said thats when the show went to shit (which I highly disagree with) in another post.

The first 3 seasons were good, and I enjoyed this season up until now. But you have to admit, the show got boring and never went anywhere. So many loose ends that were never tied up. It's just disappointing to a viewer. It's almost like David Chase thinks he's so talented that he doesn't have to make something that people will all get. Like he's an artist or something, and he's above appeasing his audience. Like he feels, if they don't get what I"m trying to do, then fuck them.

I got hooked and really dug the show at first, but I can't even count how many Sundays throughout the years that I watched an episode and said "why the fuck did I just waste that hour? nothing happened". That's not what I consider a classic show.

It's not that I didn't "get" all the episodes, perhaps there was nothing deeper to get really, and that's why I'm disappointed. I just expected more from an HBO show than what that show turned out to be.

I miss Six Feet Under. That show turned around my whole perspective on life. That was the best series finale I have ever seen too. I felt utterly satisfied after that ended, not changing the channel furiously wondering if my cable went out. It just was a cheap ending to me that has just left me pissed off that I spent so many hours even watching that show.
