im not sure, i know they anounced a list of 10 candidates for the title about 2 weeks ago and then it was announced like 3 days ago that Vince would be on the cover

yeah id hate to see Vince have a shitty season or end up getting hurt or something.. he has tons of potential.

that whole deal pissed me off.. they shouldnt be able to have exclusivity like that.. we need variety. personally i like ea sports games the most.. and im pissed they cant make anymore mvp baseball games. and im sure those 2k series fans are pissed they cant play football games anymore.. fags they is

i like Madden more than the 2k series.

and Infared, EA sports is who makes Madden.. ESPN was the maker of the other NFL game, what back in 02- or 03.. Madden is still the best football game period.

I'm just so sick of Madden.  I played the 2004 and 2005 versions to death.  I have no desire to ever play it again unless they overhaul all of it.  All the animations, all the features, the whole interface.  As it stands now it just makes me :puke:

if 05 is the last version you played, then you are def in for a treat.. hell u havent even got to experience the QB vision feature... im pretty sure hitstick isnt on 05 either.

Madden continues to get better, im getting 08 only because i reccently purchased a 360 and have no games for it.

I disagree with all the "Madden Heads" as I call them but I think the curse is crap. It doesnt exist. I like the games but I dont read into it.

I have tried it. I actually bought 2006 at a discount off of my friend who also immediately hated it and wanted to get rid of it. I sold it to a coworker a few days later for a $10 profit hahah.

It was just the same shit with some more bells and whistles. I loved Madden for years, but I've had enough.

My problem with the "coincidences" is that most of the "cursed" players come off huge seasons. Seasons that are tough for anyone to top in their position let alone themselves. So the "curse" has many flaws. Also, a theory I had regarding this is that at some every player will have some sort of injury. That's just what happens when you push yourself that hard for that long. When you have a record breaking season I would argue you pushed yourself as hard if not harder than seasons previous. Therefore you risk getting injured in the next season if you dont rest your body. Most of these guys probably dont get a lot of rest in the off season because they need to prepare for the next season.

Plus, think about all the guys that get injured who dont make the cover. Id venture to say the odds of getting injured at all in any sport are pretty great. Id like to see a statistical analysis of every NFL starting player for 5 years. It would be interesting to see who did and did not get injured in those 5 years.
