What do you reckon is the most tripped to album?

Pink Floyd's Dark Side of the Moon? Any of the three Shpongle albums? Or (urgh) Sgt Pepper's?

Any other thoughts?

Sgt. Pepper's has a higher all time sales rate, I think. I may be wrong, though. Either way, it's probably been tripped to more often since it was released in 1967. How many people were actually taking acid by 1973?

Dark Side of the Moon has sold at least 40 million copies

Sgt. Pepper's has sold at least 30 million copies

And I know more people today who listen to Pink Floyd, DSotM has to be the most tripped to album. I can see why somebody with John Lennon in their avatar would think differently though.

I think yall are too dismissive of that six year head start. Plus I mean EVERYONE who tripped from like 68 to 72 listened to Sgt Pepper. By the time Dark Side came out there was a lot more psychedelic music to choose from.

in regards to the 6 years before DSOTM relating to sgt. peppers

you're right, for those 6 years everyone listened to that album...HOWEVER, think about the RECENT years of psychedlics. kids these days (25yrs and younger) are much more readily turning to DSOTM, since 'the beatles' (for a lot of younger people) are just their parents music.

which is why DSOTM > sgt pepp
