Ythan, is there a way you could rig it so that we could sample like 10 or 15 seconds on someones music upload before downloading.

It usually only takes that long to tell if the song is shit or not.

It'll be like Itunes but more like Ytunes

Interesting idea, it'd take a little doing because of how I have permissions set up but it should be possible. Not right now though, I just finished a cool new cropping tool for oversized avatars and I intend to smoke the fuck out of this here bowl.

Cool, but please keep it in mind because gair is mass uploading horseshit music and I hate waiting for the entire download to find out so.

Okay I implemented your suggestion, see the first post here for an example. It won't help you with Paw's posts though because he uploads WMA. If you can find a Flash-based player that supports WMA in addition to MP3 please let me know and I'll use it. But I don't think there is one because Flash doesn't have native support for WMA like it does for MP3. I'd have to re-encode them which is another whole can of worms.

Okay I updated it and it should now work with MP3, WMA, OGG and WAV. Just click and listen. It might have been broken before if I was working on it.

Yeah I can't easily fix that cause I didn't write the Flash MP3 player. But it's cool, you can make your own live mixes this way. :dj:

I cannot express how thankful I am for this feature.

I just tried it out for the first time in the field really looking into someones music and I was able to determine shit after 5 seconds worth.

Now people can make voice recordings of their posts and upload them for the hearing impaired.
