Fruity Loops problem -- I hear nothing!

I have no idea I just dled FL studio 6, I downloaded some .midi (which I played into another player and it works fine) and I can't hear anything, do I have to set specific settings? I'm really newbie to this program but I've never had any sound related problem so it's obviously in the program.

You have to set an instrument to the MIDI channel. MIDI is not sound, its a language that can translate to sound if an instrument is applied to it.

Fruit loops is okay if you are a beginner and don't know anything about sequencers.

  When you get good at that, look into Cubase. :thumbup:

fruitloops is a childs toy, check your audio out/s see how things are routed I've only used fruitloops back in the day. Check out Reason, Reaktor, or Logic. expensive but delicious software.
